Uzbek boxers won seven medals at Thailand Invitation International Boxing Tournament 2017, which ended on 8 April.
Isroil Madrimov (under 75 kg) won a gold medal to become the tournament’s winner. Elnur Abduraimov (under 64 kg) won second place. Jasurbek Latipov (under 52 kg), Shakhobiddin Zoirov (under 56 kg), and Murodjon Akhmadaliev (under 60 kg) all placed third.
Coaches decided not to let Khasanbay Dusmatov (under 49 kg) and Shakhram Giyasov (under 69 kg) onto the ring, to prevent injuries ahead of the Asian and world boxing championships.
Both fighters were awarded second places.
