European bodies for the protection of consumer rights asked media companies such as Facebook, Google and Twitter to make appropriate amendments in their terms of service within one month.
If they are not going to meet the regulators' demand, they will face appropriate fines. We are talking about a scrutiny of media companies by European regulators, especially regarding their doing business, ranging from too much "secrecy" ending with "efficiency" in removing illegal content. In December last year, regulators sent letters to the companies saying some of their terms of service does not correspond to EU legislation on consumer protection.
