Porsche is planning to invest hundreds of millions of euros in the development of its digital services. Thus, the company wants to offset the losses from declining sales.
The financial director of the company said that the growing demand for taxi services, or car-share services, may adversely affect intentions to own a car, and this in turn negatively affects sales. He said they have to accept this fact, but nevertheless, they have to think about new ways how to cope with this. The company will develop a new business model to compete with others in this situation. In particular, the company plans to spend between 200 and 300 million euros each year towards the development of digital services, including the development of a software that allows finding available parking spaces, etc.
