According to the government of France, a wave of cyber attacks, about which we reported in previous stories, also affected the French automaker Renault. To prevent other computers from infections, the company had to close several factories in several cities.
The company stressed that the damage from the downtime was minimal, as the attack happened in the weekend.
We are talking about the virus-the extortioner "WanaCrypt0r". To unlock the computer, the attacker requires the owner $300 dollars. The message about the need to pay pops up after a certain period of time. If the user does not pay the required amount, all files will be deleted.
The virus has already reached more than 200 thousands of computers in over 150 countries.
