Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met with Argentinean President Mauricio Macri in Tokyo on Friday as part of bilateral talks aimed to strengthen Japan-Argentina relations.
Two nations signed memorandums of cooperation, especially in the areas of agriculture.
During a three-day official visit to Tokyo, Macri is scheduled to meet Japanese Emperor and Empress.
The meeting came amid warming bilateral ties. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe became the first Japanese prime minister in decades to visit Argentina when he met with Macri in November.
