On October 15, 2013 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held a meeting with the Director-General of the Department of External Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Qiu Guohong, who arrived in our country to participate in regular consultations at foreign ministries level.
During the meeting the sides discussed issues of the bilateral agenda and exchanged views on some international and regional issues.
At the meeting was emphasized the dynamic nature of intergovernmental cooperation, a strong impetus to which have given the meetings and negotiations between the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and Chinese President Xi Jinping on 8-10 September in Tashkent and Samarkand. It was stressed that the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation and the Joint Declaration on the further development and deepening of bilateral strategic partnership signed by the Heads of States will bring a multi-faceted Uzbek-Chinese dialogue to a new level.
In the meeting was also present the Ambassador of China Zhang Xiao.
