On 18-21 April, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the 6th round of the Uzbek-Canadian inter-ministerial political consultations, held a number of meetings and negotiations in Montreal and Ottawa.
In particular, the delegation met with MP Deepak Abraham, assistant head of administration of the House of Commons, the Director-General of the office for international relations and interparliamentary affairs K. Labreche-Riel, a prominent political figure, former member of parliament Joe Daniel, Chairman of the Standing Committee on foreign affairs and international development of the Parliament of Canada R. Nolta, Chairman of the Committee on foreign affairs and international trade of the Senate of Canada R. Andreicuk, the Director of the Bureau for international relations of the mayoralty of Montreal G. Normandin, Vice President for international business development of Canadian Corporation for export development Bruce Dunlop.
According to the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, during the meeting the parties discussed practical issues of further development of Uzbek-Canadian dialogue in various fields.
