On 14 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the delegation of the European Commission headed by head of Directorate General for international cooperation and development Stefano Manservisi.
The conversation discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, as well as the implementation of the Strategy of new partnership of EU with Central Asia from the point of view of improving its effectiveness.
In practical terms, the parties reviewed the preparations for the upcoming 13th meeting of the Cooperation Council "Uzbekistan–EU" in Brussels, the visit of high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy Federica Mogherini to our country.
The sides confirmed mutual consent on the establishment of a new body for cooperation - the Subcommittee on cooperation for development, which will strengthen relations in financial-technical sphere.
