The agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on interregional cooperation entered into force on July 15. It was signed in Astana on March 23, 2017, during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The document provides for the expansion and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, in the areas of agriculture, health, employment promotion, tourism and environmental protection and other areas of mutual interest.
