The Korea International Cooperation Agency KOICA, performing government programs on gratuitous help, conduct an assessment of the results of the project "Establishment of Vocational Training Centre in Tashkent."
It should be noted that the construction of Vocational Training Centre in Tashkent was completed in June 2012, through gratuitous help of KOICA, and today the Center is the only one of such kind in Uzbekistan. The Centre provides training in areas such as: engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, information technology, vehicle maintenance. For 3 years the center has produced about 1,500 graduates, with an index of employment of graduates over 90%. The project has been praised by the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In connection with the successful results of vocational training center in Tashkent, the republic's government sent a request for the establishment in addition of similar centers of specialized training in the 4 regions of Uzbekistan. At present the agreements to begin work on projects in Samarkand and Shakhrisabz conducted.
At the moment, the experts of university for Sangmeng (Korea) make the assessment of the results of vocational training center in Tashkent. The evaluation team plans to verify the findings of the project, as well as conduct interviews with employees and alumni center. The visit of the evaluation team plays a great importance for the future work of vocational training centers in Uzbekistan.
"This evaluation will enable to find out about the shortcomings of the project, and will provide an opportunity to assist in the further development of the Vocational Training Centre in Tashkent," - said the representative of KOICA.
