Anvar Sharipov, head of an Uzbek tourism delegation at an ongoing Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition, met with Oleg Safonov, head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, to discuss Uzbek-Russian tourism cooperation.
Russian officials said it was well-informed about tourism reforms in Uzbekistan, including tourism support resolutions by Uzbekistan’s President.
The Federal Agency said it was ready to organise events to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, including B2B meetings for tourism businesses, both in Uzbekistan and in Russia.
Mr Safronov proposed developing a joint tourism product to attract foreign tourists. The Russian-Uzbek cooperation is expected to grow.
