On 17 April, the Labor Ministry of Uzbekistan saw a meeting of Labor Minister Aziz Abduhakimov with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenev.
The sides discussed issues on further implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the government of the Russian Federation on organized recruitment and attraction of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the implementation of the temporary labor activity on the territory of the Russian Federation, and the Agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the reciprocal establishment of representative offices of competent bodies in the field of migration.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to issues related to the simplification of the procedures for obtaining a work permit (patent) for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation, by conducting a special test on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties discussed issues concerning the definition of partnerships with academic institutions in Uzbekistan to conduct tests for obtaining a patent for work in Russia.
In addition, the Uzbek side raised a question concerning the start of negotiations between the ministries of health of the two countries on the elaboration of a separate intergovernmental agreement to conduct a medical examination of the Uzbek labor migrants to leave for work in Russia.
