Loans contribute to small business and private entrepreneurship development, where quick issue of loans helps companies expand production, introduce new technologies, spawn new jobs. This is the reason Uzbekistan’s commercial banks work on issuing loans to small businesses and private entrepreneurs, with Uzpromstroybank, which has a large office network, financially supporting entrepreneurs throughout the country.
One of the republic’s largest banks, Uzpromstroybank works on supporting small business and private entrepreneurs. Over the 11 months this year, Uzpromstroybank provided 3600 entrepreneurs with loans worth 1tn 60b soums, with 2300 businesses receiving 106b soums in microcredits. The figures rose 30% compared to the same period last year.
Uzpromstroybank’s Sergeli branch makes its contribution to loan activities.
“From January to November, 2016, the branch issued 41.6b soums in loans. 3.4b soums were provided for services, while microcredits accounted for 1.7b soums. We pay considerable attention to women’s entrepreneurship, issuing 4.5b soums to businesswomen. Over the 11 months we issued 400m soums in loans to college graduates,” said Zarif Mirzakulov, head of Uzpromstroybank JSCB Sergeli Branch’s loan department.
NEVRO-SERVIS is a testament to the Sergeli branch’s contribution, with medical equipment and furniture bought for the loans given by the bank.
“We’ve been Uzpromstroybank’s clients since 2015. At the beginning of this year, the bank’s branch provided us with 900m soums in loans, which helped us buy medical equipment from Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Russia. Our services grew to 17 classes, and we created 25 new jobs. Uzpromstroybank is a great part of this story. We hope that our cooperation with the bank will carry on, as we have large-scale projects for the future, including a surgical department,” said Oybek Khamidullaev, deputy director of NEVRO-SERVIS.
Uzpromstroybank’s activity is based on clients’ trust and commitment to long-term cooperation. As of today, the bank has a large client network, which contributes to the economy and population welfare.
