The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank Thomas Jordan has arrived in Uzbekistan in the framework of economic cooperation.
During a meeting at the Central Bank, the Swiss delegation got acquainted with the macroeconomic situation in the country and the ongoing reforms in the financial and banking system, in particular, measures taken for further improvement of the investment climate and ensuring stability of the banking system.
During the meeting, Mr. Jordan expressed a desire to support the actions of the Central Bank to liberalize the foreign exchange policy. Then Mr. Jordan made a report on "Economic conditions and the monetary policy of Switzerland" at the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan.
The program of stay of guests also includes a trip to historical sights of Bukhara.
