More than 81 thousand tons of coal has been sold through UZEX since the beginning of the year, thus demonstrating a 33% increase over the same period of 2015. The average monthly sales volume of all coal grades amounted to 7.3 thousand tons, while the maximum volume of sales was recorded in October - 14 thousand tons, the press service of the exchange said.
The coal of grade BOMSH took the leading position in the market structure, with its share rising from 60% to current 61%. In physical terms, sales increased by 35% having amounted to 50 thousand tons. Along with this, the share of coal grade BR made up 36%, or 2% more than last year.
The price trend of coal BOMSH, during the period under review was different. If the weighted average price of coal for the period from January to May had risen from 109 thousand to 121 thousand soums per ton, from June to November, the quotes were corrected downwards having reached the level of 106 thousand soums per ton.
The greatest activity in coal acquisition was demonstrated by customers of the Tashkent region, whose share in comparison with last year increased by 17% and amounted to 46%. The three leaders also includes the customers from Kashkadarya and Samarkand regions, whose share made up 16% and 14% respectively.
